Whippet with Tulip Platter
A medium-sized ceramic platter. This piece is an amalgamation of my two ceramic techniques. The Whippet figure has been sketched out on paper and cut out with a scalpel blade. Once I have rolled out the clay and created the plate, I then adhere the paper whippet to the plate and paint over top with a pigmented slip. Once dry I then peel the paper away to reveal the paper resist whippet silhouette. This piece is then glazed, decorated and fired for a second time

Please note: This is a decorative piece, therefore please wash with lukewarm water and wipe clean. Never place in a dishwasher

Tin Glazed Ceramics.
Inspired and informed by traditional ceramic shapes, but slab build to create a modern take on a traditional vessel. Each piece is handmade and bisque-fired. They are then dipped in a Tin glaze with each one painted upon using oxides and pigments. These loose paintings upon the ceramics, make each piece an original work of art. Each piece is illustrated with a drawing inspired by places, and historical and childhood stories
